NEW SINGER AUDITIONS The Minnesota Chorale consists of a pool of singers, both paid and volunteer. All singers are auditioned annually in order to maintain the Chorale’s professionalism and high artistic standards. At the time of the audition or as soon as available, singers receive an overview of the coming season. A more detailed rehearsal/performance schedule is provided following a successful audition at which time singers are asked to submit their availability for projects in the upcoming season. All projects are rostered individually, and differ in size and musical criteria.
Rehearsals are held Monday and/or Thursday evenings, with special rehearsals and dress rehearsals scheduled according to the requirements of each project. Please note that projects with the Minnesota Orchestra generally include two daytime orchestra rehearsals and, typically, a Thursday morning concert in the performance week. There are also many performance opportunities that have no daytime commitments. The Chorale’s main rehearsal space is Westminster Presbyterian Church (1200 Marquette Avenue, Minneapolis 55403). Free parking is available for all rehearsals at Westminster. Singers may incur parking charges during concert weeks; however, charges are minimal and if costs are a barrier, there is a scholarship program available to help defer that expense. |
Mission of the Minnesota Chorale We sing together to unite people and amplify diverse voices through rigorous artistic practice and joyous collaboration. |
The rosters for the 24/25 season have been filled. If you are interested in auditioning for the 25/26 season please submit the information requested below.
