A Spelman College alumna, she earned her M.M. in Sacred Music from Westminster Choir College — where she won the R&R Young Composition Prize — and her Ph.D. from Georgia State University. Director of Choral Activities at Georgia Institute of Technology, her choral catalog spans SATB, SSAA, and two-part voicings, with works performed at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center. Her choral writing draws on African American musical traditions while exploring social justice themes, and her music appears on two 2026 Grammy-nominated recordings.
