Chorale Side By Side logo

Every season, the Minnesota Chorale opens its stage to the next generation of singers — and this season is no different. Side by Side brings high school tenors and basses onto the stage alongside tenor/bass voices of the Chorale, creating an ensemble that spans generations in a single concert. Conducted by Dr. Jon C. Lahann, Walter Tambor, and Dr. David Mennicke, this is the organization's commitment to mentorship and community in action — the belief that the partnership between singers of all ages enriches the experience for all.

In 2024-25, singers from Minneapolis South, Edison and Como Park high schools performed with the the low voices of the Minnesota Chorale in concert on Friday, November 1st at Minneapolis South High School Auditorium. Special guests, the St. John's University Men's Chorus joined us for an amazing collaboration of what it looks like to keep singing throughout our lives.

We are excited for the return of Side by Side in our 2026-27 Season.

Stay tuned for our November date and location.
