Voices of Experience

In partnership with the MacPhail Center for Music, the Minnesota Chorale has established Voices of Experience, an artistically ambitious chorus of Twin Cities seniors, ages 55 and older. A Chorale-MacPhail steering committee has chosen Jerry Rubino, acclaimed conductor, pianist and arranger, to lead the ensemble.

Voices of Experience made its formal debut at two concerts in November, 2010, including a side-by-side performance with the Minnesota Chorale and the Minneapolis Youth Chorus, as the centerpiece of the Chorale’s 2010 Bridges community-engagement project, Sing On!

Interested in singing with VoX? Try the Winterim Session, offered free of charge to interested singers: Tuesday morning rehearsals from now through February 21. (Spring session 2012 runs from March 6 to May 8).

For more information about Voices of Experience, call the Chorale at 612.455.2100.

Voices of Experience is made possible in part by grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Quaker Hill Foundation. The Minnesota Chorale is a fiscal year 2010 recipient of an Arts Access grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is funded, in part, by the Minnesota arts and cultural heritage fund as appropriated by the Minnesota State Legislature with money from the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.
