   Oh, What a Party!

Our 2013 Gala took place on Saturday, March 2 - and oh, what a party it was! Over two hundred guests enjoyed a festive evening of music, laughter, and excitement in the elegant surroundings of the James J. Hill Reference Library in St. Paul. The evening - which included a live auction led by the incomparable Karen Sorbo - raised over $50,000 to support the Chorale's education and community engagement programs.

With scrumptious food by Scott McKenzie Catering and Events, plus live performances by the children of the Minneapolis Youth Chorus and members of the Minnesota Chorale, the 2013 Gala truly was a feast for the senses! An engaging sing-along led by Voices of Experience conductor Jerry Rubino joined all our voices in song. We capped off the evening with a riotous game of Heads or Tails, with the lucky winner taking home gorgeous white gold and diamond hoop earrings donated by Wixon Jewelers.

Thanks to all our generous donors and guests, dedicated volunteers, staff, and singers who made this glorious evening possible!

   MYC Spring Concert

Awake the Voice! all-Bach program Saturday, April 27 at 7:00 pm
St. Richard's Catholic Church
7540 Penn Ave. S.
Richfield, MN 55423

If you heard the Minneapolis Youth Chorus sing at our annual gala, you got a brief taste of what these young singers can do. To enjoy the full banquet, we hope you'll attend MYC's Spring Concert on Saturday, April 27, at St. Richard's Catholic Church in Richfield. Our new Prelude choir for singers in grades 3 - 5 will join MYC for an evening of songs and smiles, all led by founding conductor Patrice Arasim and associate conductor Walter Tambor.

A note of thanks

Without the support of our many generous friends and fans, it would have been impossible for us to weather the storm of the Minnesota Orchestra lockout. We have high hopes that the musicians and orchestra management will resolve this conflict, and that we'll return to Orchestra Hall next season. Meanwhile, we're doing all we can to sail a steady course, shepherding our resources and making prudent financial decisions to keep us singing today and for years to come.

You can help. If you haven't yet supported the Minnesota Chorale, we welcome your donation. Click here to make your contribution. And to all who have stepped in with generous and open-hearted gifts, thank you: you make us sing!
